Ender is also a child.

Recruited by the World Goverment, Ender has been monitored ever since he was five. Doing sotheyfound his amazing strengths. He excels in computerized wargames. Ender excels in wargames onthe computer, but how will he fair in real combat? Will the stress and anxiety cause him to fail and perish? Battleschool is just a computerized game.

       Right?

Well I would not give away the ending to this book because it is an excellent one. The author really shows in detail the thoughts that go through Ender's mind and the way he thinks. He develops each character to play sometimes subtle yet effective roles. If you break down each quote in the book you find that they all mean something important. This book was a great read and usually I don't like to read that much. But I loved this book! I highly recommend this to everyone even if you do not like reading. I am glad I choose this book to read!

The author Orson Scott Card develops this book in a way that from the very first page you are hooked. His character development and meaningful quotes are flawless. He really makes you empathize and feel how Ender feels in certain situations. He seems like he dreamed of becoming maybe a pilot, soldier, or astronaut. He made a great book!

"Human beings are free except when humanity needs them. Maybe humanity needs you. To do something. Maybe humanity needs me-to find out what you are good for. We might both do despicable things, Ender, but if humankind survies, then we are good tools."

-Graff is explaining to Ender that people should help mankind in all ways that they can, Ender has a tough time with this because he views people as more than tools.

"In the moment when I truly understand my enemy, understand him well enough to defeat him, then in that very moment I also love him. I think it's impossible to really understand somebody, what they want, what they believe, and not love them the way they love themselves."

-Ender is telling Valentine how he hates himself because once he understands his enemies he kills them, this causes Ender great emotional stress.

"Welcome to the human race. Nobody controls his own life, Ender. The best you can do is choose to fill the roles given you by good people, by people who love you."

-Valentine is explaining to Ender that in life you can not follow your own path, you follow other people's paths also, and that this is for everyone and not just Ender.
